Your library online

Search for books and manage your loans online

You can access your library account online using your library card number and password.

Set your password by visiting the Library, calling us on 06 7655403, or emailing us on library@stratford.govt.nz

Once you're logged in, you can see the items you have on loan, renew items, and request items that you would like to borrow. You can also view your borrowing history and update your personal details.

Get free access to ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and news

Your library card also gives you free access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, and magazines, on your computer and smart devices through Libby by OverDrive and BorrowBox.

Download Libby and BorrowBox on your smart phone or device, computer, and some dedicated eReader devices (excluding Kindle).The apps are available for free from the Playstore or App store, and both apps have a different selection for you to read, listen to, and enjoy.

Libby

Libby is available on Apple and Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire tablets, laptops and desktop computers, and some dedicated eReaders (excluding Kindles). You can borrow ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more.

  1. Visit the Libby Lower North Island page here to get set-up
  2. Select Sign in With My Card
  3. Then select Stratford Library from the list
  4. Use your card number to sign in. Easy!
  5. Make sure you download the free Libby app on your smart devices from the Playstore or App store.

BorrowBox

BorrowBox has a great catalogue of ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, and magazines.

To read and listen, you'll need the BorrowBox app which is available for both Apple and Android phones and tablets, and the Amazon Fire tablet. But first, get set-up using the instructions below. We're able to get access to the BorrowBox catalogue thanks to South Taranaki's LibraryPlus service!

  1. Visit SouthTaranaki.Borrowbox.com
  2. Your User ID is your Stratford Library membership number - B xxxxxxxx (B is the only letter – the rest are numbers)
  3. You'll need the library team to set-up your password for you. Please call 06 765 5403 or come in and see us and we'll get one sorted for you.
  4. Make sure you download the free BorrowBox app on your smart devices from the Playstore or App store.
