Matariki public holiday hours

Mānawatia a Matariki me Puanga!

Happy Māori New Year! On Friday 28 June, we celebrate the Māori new year (which we refer to as Puanga in Taranaki) with the Matariki public holiday. To help you with your planning, here are our facility hours on the day:

• Stratford Library and Visitor Information Centre: closed
• Wai o Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre: open 10am to 5pm
• Service Centre: closed
• Transfer Station: open 1pm to 5pm

Check out our Puanga events and activities at Stratford.govt.nz/Puanga, including A Starry Night on Thursday in the War Memorial Centre and FREE movie screenings at the TET Kings Theatre:

• The Mountain on Friday 28 June at 2.30pm
• Coco in Te Reo Māori on 30 June at 2pm (without English subtitles)

The venue capacity at TET Kings Theatre is 200 people and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. See you there!
