The Creative Communities fund is open!
The Creative Communities Scheme is a partnership between Stratford District Council and Creative New Zealand. Through the scheme, individuals, groups, and organisations can receive funding for local arts projects.
The fund opens twice a year and the first funding round for 2024 is now open!
If you’ve got a creative project that supports one of the following goals, make sure you get your application in before the funding round closes on Sunday 7 April.
To be eligible, projects have to support at least one of the following:
- Access and participation: Create opportunities for local communities to engage with, and participate in local arts activities
- Diversity: Support the diverse artistic cultural traditions of local communities
- Young people: Enable young people (under 18 years) to engage with, and participate in the arts
Funding can be used for:
- Materials for arts activities or programmes
- Venue or equipment hire
- Personnel and administrative costs for short-term projects
- Promotion and publicity of arts activities
