Our big audit of bins is underway

Our waste minimisation team is doing an audit of residential bins. This work will help us identify which bins we need to repair or replace, how many bins are out there, and if they’re the right type. It’s also important for future work, like our plans to add a unique code to bins so we can return them if lost.

When checking your bins, our team will wear their signature high-fashion, high-visibility gear, with visible ID, and all mahi will be done during working hours.

There are over 8,500 bins to look at and the audit will take months’ of work in sun, wind, and rain, so don’t feel shy about saying kia ora. It’ll make their day.
