Planned water shutdown for Stratford - 10 October 2022
We’re installing a second water trunkmain to Stratford to increase the resilience of our water supply.
As part of this project we need to turn off the town’s water supply so a new piece of infrastructure can be safely connected to the existing water trunk main.
We’re planning to undertake this shutdown on Monday 10 October, between 9.00pm and 1.00am. This work is weather dependant, in poor weather conditions it will be moved to the next suitable day.
During this period, you may notice disruption to your water supply. Some properties may experience no water flow while others may only notice less flow or pressure from the taps.
We’re carrying this work out at night to cause as little disruption as possible, but it’s important to plan ahead.
If you require water during this period please make alternative arrangements prior to the shutdown.
Once this work is finished there may be air in the supply or the water could look milky or discoloured.
Before you turn on any inside taps, run an outside tap for 5 minutes or until the water is running clear.
If you have any concerns or questions about this shutdown, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 06
765 6099.
