Preparing for COVID-19 interruptions
Taranaki communities are now seeing the effect that the COVID-19 omicron variant can have on our daily lives.
Council is committed to keeping our community safe, and we’ve been preparing to operate services as best as possible for our residents during this time, while adhering to the government’s traffic light system guidelines.
Our service centre and facilities are open with public health measures in place to keep everyone well. As part of our Business Continuity Plan some of our team are working from the office, and others are working remotely. This provides additional resilience across our critical infrastructure and core services.
We’ve already had some staff directly impacted by the spread of omicron in our communities, either by becoming unwell or needing to isolate, and it’s likely this will rise in the weeks ahead.
To support with safe staffing levels, we’re needing to make temporary changes to the operating hours of our TSB Pool Complex from this weekend.
TSB Pool Complex updates
- Our swimming pool will open from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturdays and close on Sundays and Public Holidays until further notice.
- The team has made it a priority to honour existing bookings for schools and swimming lessons, and are doing everything they can to maintain normal operating hours throughout the week days.
- There may be times when our group fitness classes need to be cancelled. Booked attendees will be notified if this happens.
- At times you might also find some pools will be closed based on staffing levels.
- We encourage you to check the TSB Pool Complex Facebook page, our website stratford.govt.nz or phone the pool on 06 765 6275 prior to visiting for the latest.
We’re doing everything we can to limit these interruptions for our community, and appreciate your patience and support towards our staff as they work hard to deliver services under these circumstances.
We will continue to keep you updated on any other changes to our services and facilities.
