The asphalt pump track features rollers and berms,
and its smart design means bike riders of all ages and
skill levels are able to safely navigate the course.
A
reminder to users to please follow the track markings,
look out for one another and ride within your ability.
This track rounds off development in the park which
started back in November 2020 when Council received
central government funding of $2 million to construct
an education cycle track and half basketball court.
The pump track and family BBQ areas were welcome
additions.
We’re excited to have this section of the park now open
for all to enjoy.
It’s been a long wait as we’ve had to
navigate COVID-19 alert levels and more recently bad
weather.
We’re looking forward to having the rest of
the park’s final touches (more concrete artwork and
landscaping) completed soon.
When possible, we will look to hold an official ‘ribbon
cutting’ ceremony and community open day
