COVID-19 Update: Council services at Alert Level 2
From Wednesday 8 September, Taranaki will be in Alert Level 2.
For Stratford District Council, this means we’re able to welcome people back into our facilities, but with important measures in place to keep staff and community members safe.
Chief Executive Sven Hanne says, “Alert Level 2 is different with Delta, and this means that our facilities will be working with tighter restrictions than previously. We’re asking everyone in our community to play their part in following the new golden rules.”
From Wednesday our Service Centre on Miranda Street will be open to the public, and playgrounds and the skate park will reopen. Our Library and Visitor Information Centre and TSB Pool Complex will open to the public from Thursday 9 September.
Visitors to all our facilities during Level 2 are required to:
- record their visit by scanning in using the NZ COVID Tracer App or by completing a paper based form available
- maintain 2m distance from others
- be wearing a face covering if aged 12 years and over.
“Our staff are excited to open the doors, and will be following all COVID-19 protocols to ensure their safety and the safety of our community. All public facing staff and contractors will be wearing face coverings,” he says.
“Remember you can still get in touch through our contactless service by phone 06 765 6099 and email stratforddc@stratford.govt.nz if you’d prefer.”
