First instalment of rates
With Stratford District Council buildings being closed to the public, following the Alert Level 4 lockdown announcement last Tuesday, Council has received a number of phone calls about rates payments.
We understand this is a worrying time for everyone but we want our ratepayers to know we are here to help.
With rates due this Wednesday 25 August, Council has a number of contactless payment options available including internet banking, direct debit and credit card.
For those that may want to set up direct debit payments please contact us by emailing rates@stratford.govt.nz or by calling us on 06 765 6099.
If for any reason you are unable to pay your rates by the due date, please contact us and we can help with a personalised repayment plan. If you are unable to complete your payment via any of the contactless payment options please make contact with us to avoid incurring a penalty.
Rates rebates have been processed for those who applied before Alert Level 4 lockdown. If you are yet to apply you can still receive a rebate if you apply by 30 June 2022. Pay your first rates instalment if you can and we’ll give you the rebate later. If you are unable to make a payment for this instalment please contact us.
For more information on rates rebates or rates payments, including how to pay online visit Council’s website stratford.govt.nz or call us on 06 765 6099.
