A lot to discover in Stratford this summer

Spending the summer holidays in Stratford?

There’s a lot to discover, whether it’s your favourite Shakespeare sonnet, the history of a heritage building, our natural wonders along the Pātea River or the wonderful talent of local street artists!

Jump on the Stratford Discovery Trail, Te Ara o Ruaputahanga ki Whakaahurangi by picking up a map and kids icon hunt activity sheet from the Stratford i-SITE and Library in Prospero Place.

The trail ticks off all the favourite places and spaces in Stratford, plus a number of hidden treasures you might be yet to discover.

Grab the kids, get outdoors and find the six icons hidden along the trail. Once you’ve completed your kids icon hunt activity sheet, take a photo of the completed sheet at one of the trail’s locations and upload it to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #stratforddiscoverytrail or email it to communications@stratford.govt.nz with your contact details.

Every entry will go in the draw for one of five $100 prize packs. Entries close Monday 1 February 2021.

The trail is approximately 6km in distance and can be completed in one walk or explored across various adventures – it’s entirely up to the explorer!

Keep an eye on the “watch this space” areas of the map too, as the trail continues to evolve with more to see and do coming in 2021.
