Library reopens its doors

The Stratford District Library reopened its doors to the public today.
The building at Prospero Place has undertaken a $1million upgrade and redevelopment over the past nine months. The redevelopment has been funded from rates and generous donations from the TSB Community Trust and the Lottery Grants Board.
First customers through the doors have complimented the improvements as being “impressive”, “great how light the space is”, and “lovely to be able to see out into Prospero Place”.
Head Librarian Jonet Moore says, “Library staff have been looking forward to moving into the new space. It’s great to be able to offer such a vibrant and friendly place to our users. We look forward to welcoming everyone at our official opening.”
The official opening ceremony will be held on Friday 7 October, 9am.
