Council is sending out letters and surveys to all rural residents in the above areas so that you can contribute and be part of future planning for your community. Alternatively you can complete the survey here online.
Under Section 125 of the Local Government Act 2002 Stratford District Council is required from time to time to assess the provision of water and other sanitary services within the Stratford District.
The purpose of the assessment is to determine, from a public health perspective, the adequacy of water and sanitary services available to communities.
The last assessment was undertaken in 2005 and Council believes a new assessment is needed.
Water and sanitary services included in the assessment are:
- Water Supply
- Wastewater - Sewage collection, treatment and disposal
- Stormwater Drainage
- Solid Waste - Refuse collection and disposal
- Public Toilets
- Cemeteries
The close date for the surveys is Friday 8 April, 4.30pm.
