New Online Payments Option

Stratford District Council has new and improved online services, including an online payment option for credit card users.

The new services are now available here.

Director of Finance, Mark Weidenbohm, says the new online payment service has several advantages which now allows residents and ratepayers the additional option to pay for a range of services from the convenience of their home.

"Credit cards are now being accepted for online payments for a wide range of Council services including rates, water accounts, parking and dog fines, and debtor invoices," says Mark.  Credit card payments will only be accepted online and all transactions will incur a 2% convenience fee which will be charged by the merchant payment provider Flo2Cash.

There are other payment options for customers who do not wish to pay the convenience fee.  "Internet banking is an efficient and cost effective method of online payment," says Mark. "We also have direct debit, eftpos, automatic payments, cheques, and cash."

Along with the convenience of the new payment service, the online service upgrade allows customers to go online to check the status of building consents, view land use and subdivision enquiries and submit customer service requests. This means these services are available to the public 24 hours a day.
