This page has information about Liquor Licensing. If you have a question that is not answered here, either e-mail us or phone 06 765 6099.
The intent of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 is to make licences and certificates a privilege to hold. Alcohol is more readily available, but there is to be greater accountability for those supplying it.
The purpose of that accountability is to minimize the cost to the wider community of the abuse of alcohol as well as the negative health effects.
The operation of the Stratford District Licensing Agency is under the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and the Stratford District Liquor Licensing Policy.
If you are intending to apply for a Liquor Licence, or a Manager's Certificate, an appointment must be made. Call 06 765 6099.
