SPARC
Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC) have provided some funding to assist with the cost of travelling to sports competitions. This fund is open to sports clubs and school teams with young people aged between 5-19 years who require subsidies to assist with transport expenses to local sporting competitions.
Funding is available for people aged 5-19 in:
“a school club team participating in local sport competition in weekends, that excludes inter school and intra school competitions played during school time” and/or;
“a sports club team participating in organised sport competition through club membership outside of school time”
Funding will not be provided for:
- Regional, national or international travel.
- Equipment or other expenses.
There are two funding rounds per year. The dates for the next round are:

CREATIVE COMMUNITIES SCHEME
This grant aims to increase participation in the arts at the local level, and to increase the range and diversity of arts available to communities.
Funding is available for community groups.
Funding will not be provided for:
- facility development
- purchase of artworks for galleries
- arts activities in education institutions normally funded through curriculum
- retrospective
- accumulate debt
- catering costs
- fundraising costs
- local authority projects
- salaries
- prize monies
- retrospective costs
- debt servicing costs
- philanthropic organisations whose primary purpose is to give funds to other groups.
There are two funding rounds per year. The dates for the next round are:

STRATFORD HEALTH TRUST
The Stratford Health Trust looks favourably upon applications for financial assistance which provide for the better operation or continuance of health services to the people of Stratford.
Funding is available for the Stratford community.
Funding will not be provided for:
- Retrospective costs

COMMUNITY GRANTS POOL
Funding is available to Stratford district community groups (not individuals) who demonstrate that their activity contributes to the community outcomes.
The exact amount of funding available is yet to be determined.
Funding will not be provided for:
- Retrospective costs
- Debt servicing costs
- Philanthropic organisations whose purpose is to give funds to other groups
Groups should not regard grants as assistance in perpetuity.
